In this session, Jess presented
both qualitative and quantitative data on the experiences of queer corporate
expats, highlighting the most common challenges faced by this specific group
within the corporate expat workforce. Key areas of focus included safety and
security concerns, the importance of community, and the lack of explicit
coverage in corporate policies and communication channels to address these
issues.
After making a compelling case for improvement, Jess outlined the top ten
strategies to enhance the lives of queer corporate expats. Among these, five
quick wins were identified that organizations could implement immediately to
foster a more inclusive and supportive environment. Attendees left with
actionable insights on how to create meaningful change and better support queer
employees during their international assignments.
