When pre-assignment activities are properly implemented, they can reduce misunderstandings and disputes over the assignment’s terms and conditions. Moreover, they lay the foundation for successful assignments by increasing the likelihood that the employer will retain the employee throughout and after the original assignment; and thus reap greater return on the investment made in the assignment. 

This course will discuss the pre-assignment activities suitable for traditional long-term expatriate assignments that typically last one to three years.
