Employers of mobile employees need a reliable network of service partners to shepherd their mobile employees throughout the relocation process. Relocation abroad is a complex process with many steps and potential pitfalls.
It is overwhelming, and improbable, that a company’s HR or upper management will have the time, knowledge, resources, and experience necessary to make the best decisions for an employee who is completely relocating with their family to live in a foreign country. While a company may prefer to handle certain services in-house or with a trusted provider, most employers that send employees abroad rely on relocation management companies, or RMCs, to do the heavy lifting.
Managing supplier relations is a key component of successful employee mobility. RMCs have the crucial role of making sure that relocating employees receive the services they need to be successful in their assignments.
This course focuses on the RMC’s responsibilities for managing their supply chain. The concepts can also be used by an employer with an in-house mobility department.
