Description:
The field is constantly changing. What can organizations do to prepare as the norms of global mobility continue to shift? This session will dive into the hot topics HR managers are facing and provide a broad overlook of policies and trends in global immigration, including a comprehensive look into the current geopolitical landscape. Bonus: The panel will prognosticate on potential disruptors on the horizon and prepare attendees for how to overcome.
This presentation covers the new horizon post-Covid, and how to plan for the long term, while dealing with the current state of affairs.
Looking three to six months ahead, we expect to see a continuing shift in which countries attempt to draw foreign talent and investment due to the pandemic's impact on economic and political conditions and the changes in the labor market. In addition, employers likely will look to consider moving or expanding to a new country. Considerations when establishing an entity in a new country location include tax impacts, employment law, environmental law, concentration of talent, and much more.
Of course, companies may no longer require a nexus between physical location of employees and a brick-and-mortar entity or office. This brings a whole host of new compliance related questions. To name a few: Should employers revise their travel policy? Should an employee be able to work from any location? How will employers monitor and track employee remote work? The presenters will answer all of these questions and others related to this issue.
Finally, presenters will also update the audience with latest agency and consular-related delays, as agencies work to overcome delays springing from Covid travel restrictions and quarantine requirements.
Learning Objectives:
1) 3-6 month outlook of immigration related travel and hiring practices
2) Learning about work from home policies and compliance
3) Update on agency and consular related delays
